N’uyi Ashana means “Sun Flower” in the Dena’ina Athabascan language.
In 2014 I walked the Camino de Santiago (500 miles) in 26 days. I met wonderful people, enjoyed the simplicity of walking, and experienced such human kindness that it renewed my views on life.
There were many fields of sunflowers that I passed and it was so amazing to them all looking to the sun.
These are in honor of my journey, the kindness in the world, and the beauty n’uyi ashanas hold.
